When it comes to books and choosing which one to read next i always say that first i will read all the ones that i already own and then i will go buy new ones.Guess what?
It never happens that way.

I can’t resist the temptation. The feeling that you get when you buy a new book and you can’t wait to go home and start reading it, or put it on your bookshelf and admire how pretty it looks is amazing.
So i decided that every month i’m going to read one new book and one that i already have. This month i read Romancing Mister Bridgerton by Julia Quinn and i’m almost finished with Do you want to start a scandal by Tessa Dare.
I will post a review for each one as soon as i finish reading them.
For next month i picked these two books:

When girl meets Duke, their marriage breaks all the rules…
Since his return from war, the Duke of Ashbury’s to-do list has been short and anything but sweet: brooding, glowering, menacing London ne’er-do-wells by night. Now there’s a new item on the list. He needs an heir—which means he needs a wife. When Emma Gladstone, a vicar’s daughter turned seamstress, appears in his library wearing a wedding gown, he decides on the spot that she’ll do.
His terms are simple:
– They will be husband and wife by night only.
– No lights, no kissing.
– No questions about his battle scars.
– Last, and most importantly… Once she’s pregnant with his heir, they need never share a bed again.
But Emma is no pushover. She has a few rules of her own:
– They will have dinner together every evening.
– With conversation.
– And unlimited teasing.
– Last, and most importantly… Once she’s seen the man beneath the scars, he can’t stop her from falling in love…

A man controlled by his desires…
Infamous for his wild, sensual needs, Lazarus Huntington, Lord Caire, is searching for a savage killer in St. Giles, London’s most notorious slum. Widowed Temperance Dews knows St. Giles like the back of her hand— she’s spent a lifetime caring for its inhabitants at the foundling home her family established. Now that home is at risk.
A woman haunted by her past…
Caire makes a simple offer—in return for Temperance’s help navigating the perilous alleys of St. Giles, he will introduce her to London’s high society so that she can find a benefactor for the home. But Temperance may not be the innocent she seems, and what begins as cold calculation soon falls prey to a passion that neither can control—one that may well destroy them both.
A bargain neither could refuse.
I bought the The duchess deal last week because it sounds really interesting,it’s by Tessa Dare who is starting to be one of my favourite authors and the cover is really beautiful.
I’m a sucker for beautiful covers.
Wicked Intentions has been on my shelf for a long time and i heard great things about the Maiden Lane series so i think it’s time i give it a shot.
Please let me know in the comments if you read these books and what you thought of them.
Have a wonderful day,
Eveline
